Spain celebrates the "European heritage" and Francisco de Orellana with a coin With EHA/36/2011 order on 10 January, it was agreed the issue, minting of collector coins with the motto "European heritage."
With this slogan is issued the eighth series of collector coins of Europe Programme. The issue is dedicated to Francisco de Orellana, discoverer of the Amazon River in the V Centenary of birth.
Features. 200 euro currency face value (4 shields, gold 999 ms). Tolerance Law: Minimum 999 ms. Weight: 13.5 grams with a tolerance of plus or minus 0.20 grams. Diameter: 30 mm. Shape: Circular with fluted edge. Quality: Proof.
Description: On the obverse is the effigy of King Juan Carlos. Surrounding it, in a circular motion and in capital letters, is the legend KING JUAN CARLOS I OF SPAIN. In the bottom of the coin between two points is the year of issue, 2011. Motifs and legends surrounding a pearl beading.
In The reverse, left, a picture of Francisco de Orellana, on the right, the image of a boat captained by explorer Extremadura, on this, the common brand name adopted by the countries issuing coins dedicated to the Program Europe underneath the boat, the mint mark. In the top right of the coin, in two lines and in capital letters, appears the figure of value, 200 EURO, in the bottom of the coin, in a circular, figure legend Francisco de Orellana. Motifs and legends surrounding a pearl beading.

10 euro coin face value (8 real silver of 925 parts per thousand, the remainder being copper). Tolerance Act: Minimum of 925 mil. Weight: 27 g with a tolerance of plus or minus 0.27 g. Diameter: 40 mm. Shape: Circular with fluted edge. Quality: Proof.
