New coin in Peru: Huarautambo

The Mint and the Bank of Mexico introduced and put into circulation the new 20-peso coin with the image of Octavio Paz to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of his appointment as the Nobel Prize in Literature 1990. The presentation of this piece coins, was in charge of the governor of the Bank of Mexico, Agustin Carstens, and Consuelo Sáizar, president of the National Council for Culture and the Arts, as well as the writer's widow, Jo Merie Paz, and the director Banxico, Marcelo de los Santos Fraga.

The first coin was given to his widow Marie Jo Peace at a ceremony in the main building of the Banco de Mexico.

The currency whose dimensions are 32 mm in diameter, presented in a side with the national emblem and the words "Mexico", while in the other a bust of winning in 1990, touching his chin.

The 20-peso coin was put into circulation starting this Thursday with the legal tender in order to be used by people in their daily transactions or collected.

The presentation highlighted that the minting of this coin will allow many Mexicans come to the work of noted poet and essayist Octavio Paz.

The Central Bank of Nicaragua (BCN) officially launched commemorative coins alluding to the 50 anniversary of its creation as part of activities for the anniversary, and for the purpose of leaving a testimony of the event to the nation.
The three types of coins which were minted in gold, silver and nickel under the name of 50 cords, are 35 mm in diameter and weighs 31,103 grams.

The group of world Mints awarded the "The World's Most Beautiful Coin" to a Mexican silver coin commemorating the centenary of the Revolution and called "The Revolutionary Rail, said Thursday the Bank of Mexico and the Ministry of Finance.

New coin proposed in Mexico

Mexico's President Felipe Calderon sent to the Chamber of Deputies the initiative proposed by the minting of a coin called "Bicentenary of Start of National Independence Movement."

During the regular session in San Lazaro, there were two other initiatives where the federal Executive seeks 24 coins minted a series called "Numismatic Heritage of Mexico and other currencies with the title Fifth Anniversary of the Encounter of Two Worlds."

Panama new coin

The Board of Panama Viejo made the presentation of the new coin of fifty cents, alluding to the Convent of the Nuns of the Conception, the new currency will be distributed by the National Bank.

Centered on the obverse of the coin is the image of the Convent of the Nuns, in the upper contour of the monument's name and the year "2010" in the lower contour. On the back, in the center, is embodied the shield of the Republic of Panama, the phrase "Republic of Panama."

The Panamanian State through Law 73 of November 11, 2009 approved the minting of coins 3 million fifty cents, current movement, and memorial to the Monumental Complex of Panama Viejo.

During the presentation at the Convent of the Nuns of the Conception was released to the audience the new currency of fifty cents alluding to the image of the Convent of the Sisters, whose manor shall revert to the funds from the Board of Old Panama, for the restoration of historic Monumental.
