Coin Series IV "Spanish Painting"

The Gazette (Spain) (BOE) published the Ministerial Order is agreed the issue, minting and circulation by the Mint and Stamp collectibles dedicated painter El Greco, Murillo, Ribera and Zurbarán.

This is the fourth series of coins dedicated to Spanish artists, who play on both sides of various works of such artists.

Domenicos Theotocopulos, El Greco, has two coins, one of 400 euros of face value and another fifty, whose retail price will be 1,250 and 245 euros respectively, while Murillo, Ribera and Zurbarán have coins ten euros of face value, whose retail price is 50 euros.

The Order is EHA/1398/2011 of 24 May, agreed that the issue, minting and circulation of collector coins of the fourth series of "Spanish Painters."

The order specifies that the coin series is dedicated this year to the following artists: Domenico Theotocopoulos, El Greco (1541-1614), Bartolomé Esteban Murillo (1617-1682), José de Ribera, El Españoleto (1591-1652) and Francisco de Zurbarán (1598-1664).

400 euro currency face value (8 escudos gold of 999 milliseconds).

50 euro coin face value (cincuentín, silver of 925 milliseconds, the rest being copper).

Weight: 168.75 grams with a tolerance of plus or minus 1 g.
Diameter: 73 mm.
Shape: Circular with a smooth edge.
Quality: Proof.

Article 5. Minting and circulation.

The aforementioned coins were minted by the State in the National Factory
Mint, Royal Mint, which delivered them to the Bank of Spain through

In Slovenia this March 21 went into circulation commemorative 2-euro coin in honor of the centenary of the birth of Rozman Franc(1911-1944).
The coin was minted at the Mint of Finland, with an emission of one million coins.
The design is by Edi Berk.

Franc Rozman was a Yugoslav Partisan commander in World War II, where he fought as a supporter of the liberation of the German occupation of Slovenia.
Previously participated in the International Brigades against Francoduring the Spanish Civil War.

Spain World Champion Coins

The National Mint of Spain will mint a coin series to commemorate the World Championship won by the national soccer team in South Africa, the government said.

The coins, which will be EUR 20 and 10, whose retail price without tax will be 44 and 65 euros respectively.
On the obverse the effigy of King Juan Carlos and back two different images with the words' South Africa 2010 World Champions. "

At € 20 you will see a player with two balls representing the different continents. At 10 euros, will play the hands of an archer trying to tackle a ball pretending to be a globe.

The initial circulation will be 20,000 each, quantities that may increase depending on demand.
The coins will go on sale in the second half of the year at prices ranging from $ 57 to $ 10 and $ 85 to $ 20.

Coins in honor to Max Havelaar

The Netherlands will issue coins of 10 and 5 euros in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of Holland's most important book, Max Havelaar.
This book about colonial oppression in Indonesia was published in 1860
The 10 Euro coin minted in gold, with 6.72 g, 22.5 mm in diameter and as Proof.
Each coin will cost EUR 272, only 5500 coins issued
The currency of 5 Euros, will be silver with a weight 15.5g, diameter, 33mm, this coin will cost 33 euros and 15,000 pieces of coinage.

The Real Casa de la Moneda (Spain mint) minted collection of 10 and 12 euros in value to commemorate the Spanish presidency of the Europe Union during the first half of 2010, according to a ministerial decree published today in the Bulletin Oficial of State. According to the order of 16 December the Ministry of Finance to the National Factory authorized to issue, mint and put into circulation commemorative coins for the first three months of next year.
The coins will be minted by the State in that body, to be delivered to the Bank of Spain to distribute the pieces to this credit institutions which request. The obverse of the coins are played effigies of the Kings and superimposed on the back include a cross strokes symbolizing the union flag on the logo created for the presidency of Spain. The parts of the face value of 12 euros will have a composition of 925 parts per thousand silver and copper, weighing 18 grams, a diameter of 33 mm and a circular edge.
The € 10 will also be composed of silver and copper, but will be larger -40 mm in diameter, weighed 27 grams and will have the canto striatum. According to sources told Efe the National Mint, the two pieces are "legal tender", but may be paid to them only in Spain, as they have no validity in the rest of the eurozone. Citizens wishing to dispose of these items should apply to financial institutions.
