New 50 Cordobas at Nicaragua

The Central Bank of Nicaragua, BCN, through its manager Dr. Antenor Rosales Bolanos announced yesterday that on Monday, September 20 will come into circulation next 50 Cordobas special tickets to mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of the issuing bank State.

Will be put into circulation banknotes 6 million new 50-cordobas and with the same validity of the ticket of the same name that runs in the country. Printed on polymer substrate is small and its features are vertical and not horizontal like the others of the same denomination. It's memorial for the 50 year anniversary of the NCB.

Is illustrated with images of what was the first building of the NCB, and the flower sacuanjoche Somoto Canyon.

Currently in circulation with the polymer substrate material notes of the denomination of 10, 20, 200 and 50 Cordobas. The fifty córdobas ticket is still valid, said the head of the issuing bank.

The Central Bank of Nicaragua, BCN, was created by Decree No. 525 of August 26, 1960, published in the Official Gazette No. 211, September 16, 1960.
